Recuva adalah aplikasi pemulihan data (freeware), yang dikembangkan oleh Piriform. Dan berjalan pada Microsoft Windows 7 Vista, XP, 2003 dan 2000. Aplikasi ini dapat memulihkan file yang telah "permanen "dihapus dan ditandai oleh sistem operasi sebagai ruang bebas. Program ini juga dapat digunakan untuk memulihkan file yang dihapus dari flashdisk / drive USB, kartu memori, atau pemutar MP3. Recuva sebagai alat yang efektif untuk undeleting atau menyelamatkan file yang telah dihapus, di masa lalu. Program ini bekerja pada kedua sistem berkas FAT dan NTFS. Hal ini dapat memulihkan struktur direktori yang hilang dan secara otomatis mengganti nama file ketika mencoba untuk memulihkan dua file dengan nama yang sama. Seperti dengan program recovery file lainnya Recuva bekerja dengan mencari data unreferenced, tetapi jika sistem operasi telah menulis data baru melalui file yang dihapus maka pemulihan data yang terhapus secara terus menerus/sering jadi tidak mungkin.
